Through its Education pillar, ARTEMIS is dedicated to supporting students from Greece in accessing world-class undergraduate education
abroad.
ARTEMIS’ programmes promote academic excellence and work to remove the financial and structural barriers that often stand between
talented students and top-ranking universities. Improving access to higher education is a core priority, with the aim of expanding
both the availability and quality of learning opportunities. ARTEMIS seeks to equip young people with the knowledge, skills, and values
needed to thrive.
Through ARTEMIS’ programmes, academically outstanding students who wish to study in the UK or US can receive financial and educational
support throughout their application journey, and students aiming to pursue Mechanical Engineering may also receive coverage for their
undergraduate tuition fees in the UK.
Acknowledging the significant financial barriers that may prevent students from pursuing undergraduate higher education
in the UK and the US,
ARTEMIS offers a bursary programme to cover the costs of exams (such as A-levels and SATs) and application fees required for applications to top UK and US universities.
By alleviating these financial burdens, the programme enables students from non-private schools to pursue their academic aspirations without the constraint of high application costs.
Additionally, ARTEMIS offers opportunities for students preparing for entry exams to UK higher education to familiarise themselves with the UK
education system and strengthen their skills in Maths and Physics. ARTEMIS supports
high school students from Greece who participate in the COMPOS programme
delivered online by the University of Oxford, and is also piloting a programme that provides
extracurricular training for groups of high
school students from non-private schools in Greece who are preparing for Maths and Physics A-levels.
Students may apply for ARTEMIS’ Access to Higher Education programme in combination with the ARTEMIS’ scholarships programme, or they may also explore
other scholarship opportunities in the UK or US offered by other organisations.
See useful links for additional scholarships.
ARTEMIS implements a scholarship programme for students from Greece wishing to pursue Mechanical Engineering at Imperial
College London. The programme provides up to two scholarships per year covering up to full tuition fees for the duration of their studies. Candidates
are selected based on academic excellence and a range of socioeconomic criteria including but not limited to location, income and family status.
